La città sul mare di Alghero, rinomata come la "piccola Barceloneta", mescola la cultura Sarda con quella Catalana .Si trova nella costa nord-occidentale della Sardegna, conosciuta per essere considerata la capitale della Riviera del Corallo.
Alghero conta un panorama naturale molto vario, dalle spiagge con sabbia fine alle scogliere con sassi piatti o molto frastagliati, fino ad arrivare alle dune di sabbia in prossimità della pineta. Domina su tutto la vegetazione della macchia mediterranea.

La città vecchia è contornata dalle sue antiche mura, i Bastioni,dove possiamo ammirare le torri spagnole. ​Famosa è la vista al tramonto sul promontorio di CapoCaccia.
Centro storico caratterizzato da un'atmosfera senza tempo fatta di stradine acciottolate che si perdono tra esse, sullo sfondo edifici catalani in stile gotico, come per esempio la cattedrale di Santa Maria e la Chiesa di San Michel.

La città vanta di un porto turistico situato sotto le antiche mura, in una zona strategica del Mediterraneo e per tale ragione rappresenta un punto importante di transito e di snodo per le imbarcazioni. Oltre a trovare le grandi imbarcazione lungo il porto troviamo anche le barche dei pescatori nelle vicinanze del mercato del pesce e le tipiche imbarcazioni storiche locali "barche a vela latina".Tutto il lungo mare di Alghero è accompagnato da una pista ciclabile.
Località di mare dell'isola bel collegata e facilmente raggiungibile, grazie all'aeroporto che si  trova  a dieci minuti dal centro e  per chi preferisse arrivare in traghetto, il collegamento più vicino è Porto Torres mezz'ora di macchina circa.

The seaside city of Alghero, renowned as the "little Barceloneta", mixes Sardinian and Catalan culture. It is located on the north-western coast of Sardinia, known for being considered the capital of the Coral Riviera.
Alghero has a very varied natural panorama, from beaches with fine sand to cliffs with flat or very jagged stones, up to the sand dunes near the pinewood. The vegetation of the Mediterranean bush dominates everything.

The old city is surrounded by its ancient walls, the Bastions, where we can admire the Spanish towers. The view at sunset on the CapoCaccia promontory is famous. Historic center characterized by a timeless atmosphere made up of narrow cobbled streets that disappear between them, in the background Catalan buildings in Gothic style, such as the cathedral of Santa Maria and the Church of San Michel.

The city boasts a tourist port located under the ancient walls, in a strategic area of ​​the Mediterranean and for this reason represents an important transit and hub point for boats. In addition along the port we can also find fishermen's boats near the fish market and the typical local historic boats "Lateen sailing boats". The entire seafront of Alghero is accompanied by a cycle path.
Seaside well connected and easily accessible, thanks to the airport which is located ten minutes from the center and for those who prefer to arrive by ferry, the closest connection is Porto Torres, about half an hour's drive away.
